ISAF congratulates Afghan Olympic medalist Rohullah Nikpa

ISAF following a statemnt on Monday said, ISAF also recognizes the support he received from the National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan as well as his fellow countrymen.
“Nikpai’s medal is a unifying achievement that all Afghans can be proud of,” said Brig. Gen. Günter Katz, ISAF spokesman.
“Competing before the entire world, Nikpai represented the determination of the Afghan people,” added Katz. “We congratulate him on his performance. His dedication and his sportsmanship make him a distinguished representative of the Afghan people, and clearly one of the remarkable winners of these Olympic games.”
Afghan Taekwondo athlete Rohullah Nikpa achieved the first Olympics medal for Afghanistan on Thursday night by defeating his three rivals and losing one match.
Rohullah Nikpa managed to achieve Bronze medal by competing in Men’s 68 Kg championship in London Olympics 2012.
He defeated his first rival from Poland by 12/5 however he lost his second match with his Iranian rival Mohammad Baqeri Motamed.
In his third match he managed to defeat his rival from Central African Republic by 14/2 and in his last match with his English rival he won the match by 5/3.
