Government approves new projects worth 2.4 billion Afghanis

The Afghan government has approved ten new projects worth around 2.4 billion Afghanis during the latest meeting of the National Procurement Commission (NPC).

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, the meeting was organized in the Palace and was chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

According to ARG Palace, various projects, including road construction projects and logistics supplies projects were approved during the meeting.

The projects approved during the meeting include the construction work of the phase-1 of Spin Boldak road in Kandahar, reconstruction work of the phase-1 from Zarghoon Shahr to Waza Khawa area in Paktika province, and procurement of 5 types of construction material for Kabul municipality.

Other contracts approved during the meeting include the construction of phase-1 and phase-2 of the road from Nawabad to Sangar Sarai in Kama district of Nangarhar, procurement of 68 generator spares for the Kandahar electricity directorate, and procurement of 68 electrical equipment for Khak Jabar district of Kabul.

The National Procurement Commission (NPC) also approved the contracts for the transportation of 7 logistics items for 201 Silab Corps, procurement of required equipment for the central command and military corps of the ministry of defense, transportation of credit cards for the central command and military corps of the ministry of defense, and contract for the purchase of 43 required items for the ministry of defense were also approved during the meeting.
