Explosion rocks Pul-e-Khumri city in nothern Afghanistan

A relatively heavy explosion rocked northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan on Thursday.
According to reports the incident took place in Pul-e-Khumri city however it is yet not clear if the explosion took place as a result of roadside bomb blast or it was a suicdie attack.
Local security officials have not commented regarding the incident so far but local residents and eye witnesses in the area saying at least one person was injured in the explosion.
In the meantime Gen. Mohammad Sadiq provincial security chief for northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan said the incident took place after a remote controlled explosive device planted in a police vehicle went off, killing at least one individual and injuring another one.
However provincial hospital chief Mohammad Salim Rassouli said at least two individuals injured in the blast were taken to this hospital so far.
There are also fears of more property damage to the local shops and houses in the area following the blast.
No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
