England defeats Afghanistan by 15 runs in ICC World T20

The Afghanistan national cricket team faced their third match in ICC World Twenty20 after England sealed a victory by 15 runs as the Afghan batsmen were restricted to 127 while chasing a target of 143.
England won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 142 runs from 20 overs by losing 7 wickets.
Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each while Amir Hamza and Samiullah Shenwari took 1 wicket each to restrict the England batsmen to 142.
England losts its top order batsmen during the initial overs of the game as the middle order batsmen could not build a partnership as well.
But it was Moeen Ali who helped the England team by scoring 41 runs and remaining not out together with David Willey.
However, the Afghan batsmen could not chase the given target and lost the top order batsmen during the initial overs of their inning after Mohammad Shahzad’s wicket was taken in the first over by David Willey.
The Afghan team fell short of 16 runs to seal a victory and lost 9 wickets during the 20 over game.
The middle order batsmen contributed the majority of the runs to chase for a victory with Rashid Khan scoring 15 runs, Mohammad Nabi 12 runs, Samiullah Shenwari 22 runs, Najibulah Zadran 14 runs, Shafiqullah remained not out after scoring 35 runs.
