Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta condemn deadly Taliban attack on Afghan forces in Kandahar

Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta, the main government Islamic body in the country, has condemned a deadly attack by the Taliban insurgents in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan that incurred heavy losses to both sides.
The institute in a statement said it condemns the attack on the security posts in Kandahar province that resulted into the martyrdom of some Afghan security personnel.
The statement further added that neight Islam nor any other religion allow the bloodshed of the people, aggression, and offense without any reason.
According to Dar Al-Ifta also condemned the recruitment of the forigners for their insurgency in Afghanistan, citing the local residents who have witnessed the presence of Turkmen, Uzbeks, Punjabis, and other foreigners among the Taliban ranks.
Calling the terrorist groups as selfish and conspiracists, the institute said such groups are doing business in the name of religion and their motive is to boost their interests and achieve their political goals.
Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta also called for immediate steps to curb the activities of the terror groups through international join efforts and strategy.
This comes as the local officials in Kandahar are saying that the group launched coordinated attacks on security posts in Kandahar province three days ago.
The officials are saying that at least 45 militants and 22 policemen lost their lives during the overnight clashes.
