East Horizon Airlines start operations in W. Afghanistan

East Horizon Airlines, the latest addition to the list of cargo airlines in Afghanistan, formally started its operations by launching direct flights between western Faryab and Herat province of Afghanistan.
According to East Horizon Airlines officials they are looking to start regular flights in other destinations in Afghanistan including Kabul to Ghor, Bamiyan , Kunduz and Uruzgan provinces.
The officials also added they are considering to launch more flights o Faizabad, Ghazni, Daikundi and Farah provinces, depending on security.
Jahid Azimi Chief Executive Officer of the East Horizon Airlines said the airlines started its operations with more than USD20 million.
He said currently Eeast Horizon Airlines is serving the passengers using two aircrafts and the airlines is looking to purhcase two more aircrafts in the near future in a bid to expand its operations across the country.
East Horizon Airlines provides passenger, cargo and charter services operated as per international safety standards and professional civil aviation practices.
East Horizon Airlines is a private, one hundred percent Afghan-owned airlines, managed by seasoned expert and staffed by skilled young professionals. It an integrated company with a diversified portfolio that includes various travel verticals and is the first Afghan carrier that is established under the new rules and regulations of Afghanistan’s Civil Aviation.
The carrier is expected to move cargo from Kabul to smaller Afghan cities, which have previously had to rely on the unpredictable trucking. The airline is later expected to expand its service network to the UAE, Western China and India.
