Car bomb explosion injure 3 in southern Helmand province

According to local authorities in southern Helmand province, at least 3 people were injured following an explosion in this province.

The incident took place after a car packed with explosives went off in the central city of Lashkargah on Wednesday morning.

Provincial Security Chief for southern Helmand province Kamaluddin Shirzai confirming the report said, the explosives were packed inside a Corollah type vehicle and went off while a coalition forces convoy was crossing the area.

He also added, at least 3 people including an Afghan National Police officer were injured following the explosion.

Mr. Shirzai also expressed concerns for the infilatration of individuals among the coalition security forces who informs the exact timing and place of coalition forces movement to insurgents.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
