Boko Haram joins Islamic State

Site Intel Group which collects news and information from insurgent sources says that a message has been published online by an account related to the insurgent group of Boko Haram from Nigeria which is announcing the groups allegiance with the Islamic States.
Site Intel Group states that the announcement of allegiance is made by Abu Bakar Shekau, the leader of the Jama’at Ahl al-Sunnah Lil Dawa Wal Jihad what is known as Boko Haram.
The message states that Boko Haram will from now on listen and obey the orders of Abu Bakar Albaghdadi, the caliphate-announced by Islamic State.
Boko Haram came into existence in 2002 but the group’s insurgency raged in 2009. Although a specific number of the people killed by the militant group are not reported but estimation shows that around 13, 000 people have been killed by the group since 2009.
Boko Haram started its militancy in Nigeria but now it has spread to the neighboring Chad, Niger and Cameroon countries also in the west Africa.
Before Boko Haram some militant groups in Pakistan, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and other countries have also announced their allegiance with the militant group of Islamic State.
