Afghanistan soccer team qualifies for AFC Challenge Cup finals

Afghan football teamAfghanistan national soccer team successfully managed to reach AFC Challenge Cup finals after achieving further points by defeating Laos soccer team on Wednesday.

Afghanistan faced Laos at 4:30 pm Afghanistan time and the match ended in the favor of Afghanistan after the two teams managed to hit one goal each during 90 minutes play time.

The first goal of the match was hit by Laos soccer player however Afghanistan’s Arash Atifi managed to balance the game after hitting a goal during the second half of the match.

The game became more sensitive after the empire of the match give a red card to Afghan captain Jalal Shariyat which was followed by the objection of the Afghan coach Yousuf Kargar where he also received a red card.

Afghanistan national football team faced Srilanka, Mongolia and Laos in Group C of AFC Challenge Cup, and successfully managed to reach the finals after defeating the three teams.

Around 20 teams are playing in AFC Challenge Cup in four groups and qualification of Afghanistan team in the finals has been confimed after defeating Laos today.

Afghanistan is also going to face top eight teams of AFC Challenge Cup in Maldives in 2014, and will for the first time face top teams of Asia if Afghanistan qualifies in Maldives tournament.
