Afghan man gets life imprisonment for killing Greek lady

According to reports a court in Greece sentenced an Afghan man to life imprisonment over murder charges.

The 23 year old Afghan man was accused of assassinating a 76 year old woman in Crete Island last November and was sentenced to jail by a court in Greece.

The Afghan man reportedly killed the woman together with his other countrymate and wrapped her dead body in bed sheet inside her house.

The court has also ordered to arrest the other guy involved in the murder of the Greek lady. According to the court the main robbery was the main motive behind the murder of the woman.

Greece is one of the main entry points for illegal immigrants into the European Union. A new report by Human Rights Watch said the number of attacks on foreigners in Greece is surging.

Twelve years after the fall of the Taliban and international community’s intervention in Afghanistan, Afghans continue to be the most exiled people in the world. As the first entry point into Europe, Greece receives the largest numbers of migrants and asylum-seekers from African, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
