Ameesha Patel, who had once slapped a legal notice on her father Amit Patel alleging mismanagement of her accounts has now dragged her uncles to court over a disputed property, Times of India reported.
This comes as the actress took her parents to court back in 2004, alleging mismanagement of her accounts. Seems like Ameesha’s familial troubles haven’t left her just yet.
Just back from her European holiday, she has filed a case in the Pune Civil Court, claiming rights to a flat at Manali Apartments on Prabhat Road in Pune. In an earlier interview with Mirror, Ameesha had referred to her late grandmother Sushila Patel (wife of famous lawyer-politician, Barrister Rajni Patel) as her benefactor while speaking about the same flat.
However, TOI reports that Ameesha’s uncle Nalin Rajni Patel has rubbished Ameesha’s claims by submitting an application to the police on his own. This plea states that Ameesha entered the flat’s premises while the unlces were away, and stole some domestic articles from it, which are owned by the uncles. Additionally, he claims that the sign on Sushila’s will has been forged and hence it is false evidence. Also, they claim that the house has in fact been written to both brothers in the will.
On December 18, 2010, this newspaper had reported that Ameesha’s uncle Nalin Rajni Patel had submitted an application to the Deccan Gymkhana police on November 25. In his application, he alleged his niece had ‘sneaked into’ the flat with a duplicate key and stolen some domestic articles jointly owned by his brother Sunil Rajni Patel and him.
Advocate Bhairav Kulkarni, who is leading the case from Ameesha’s uncle’s side comfirmed to the paper that the court will now be looking at the case on December 13. “Ameesha’s uncles are defendants in the case and they have produced certified evidence in court to prove their point. We are ready to fight the case also because the property belongs to a prominent icon of Mumbai.”
