Abdullah appeared in another press conference a day after he announced to halt his ties with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC).
He said his team will not accept the outcome of the two electoral bodies since their work is considered as illegal by his team.
He also criticized the election commission for continuing the vote counting process in the absence of his observers.
Abdullah on Wednesday announced to halt all ties with the election bodies and asked his observers to stop their activities and withdraw from the vote-counting process.
The decision by Abdullah to halt ties with the election bodies was taken after he demanded to suspend the IEC secretariat chief Zia-ul-haq Amarkhil and asked the election commission to clarify the number of people who voted in the second round of election along with the estimate for a number of provinces.
The electoral team of Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai along with the UN mission in Afghanistan reacted towards the decision of Abdullah, with Ghani saying that the Abdullah’s decision is unjustified.
UNAMA also called Abdullah’s decision to halt ties with election bodies as unexpected and regrettable while the presidential palace said talks will be held with the two contenders.
