5 killed in Japan knife attack

JapanA knife attack has left five people killed in western Japan.

Security officials have arrested Tatsuhiko Hirano, a 40 years old suspect, on Monday morning after five persons were found dead in his neighborhood.

Security officials say they suspect the killing was the work of Tatsuhiko Hirano as his house is in the neighborhood of the victims.

Police say five bodies aged between 60 to 80 years of age were found in two houses that were stabbed to death.

Police add that by the time they arrived at the sites of the incidents, the bodies were covered by blood and there was blood everywhere on the floor.

The motive behind the attack is unknown. Police say they will issue details of the incident after their interrogation is completed.
